My name is Greg Blackburn and I am a creative through and through. I have discovered that writing is not simply a hobby of mine, but rather a lifestyle. Jotting down dialogue and ideas goes on when I should be falling asleep, when I hop in the shower, when I get on the T (the subway in Boston), and throughout sparking conversations with friends. I have learned that the perfect breakthrough can take time, but to be prepared for inspiration to strike from anywhere.
I began writing and drawing as a child, crafting my first screenplay ideas as early as the age of twelve. I originally grew up in Buffalo, NY and then first came to Boston for school. After graduating from Boston College in 2019, I moved to Girona, Spain to write and teach English at a high school there. However, during the pandemic, I returned back to Boston. I am proud to now call this city my home.
I have previous writing and editing experience as a script supervisor and digital media intern, a language editor for Duolingo’s incubator, and as an English language teacher.
I am an optimist, a visionary, and a hard-worker. I’m a firm believer that if you dream something, you can achieve it, and that every day is another opportunity to get better. I also like to think that the only thing standing in the way between two strangers is just one good, relatable story.
I look forward to collaborating with you and helping you to turn your ideas into reality— from start to finish.
