Point-Blank

The story entails the plot of a hitman and his fellow assassins to intentionally send in the new recruit to infiltrate and take out the unknown target of a rivalling gang. While the new recruit’s mind serves as a lethal weapon—with his photographic memory and intuition at the forefront—his lack of time in the line of fire may serve as a weakness or a strength.

“Point-Blank” is a 24-page short inspired by my favorite restaurant growing up and a sense of Gabriel García Márquez’s magical realism. The script was entered into the 2022 PAGE Screenplay Competition based in Los Angeles, California. Of 10,000 entries, the script advanced to the Second Round, but did not pass to the Quarter-Finals.
